Welcome!

I’m a storyteller and a story-tender. “Storytelling” is a buzzword right now, but it’s just the latest name for that elusive thing we’re always striving for, whether we’re creating job applications, college essays, dating profiles, or art: a way to share the deep, universal truth that’s in us in a way that touches the deep, universal truth in our listeners—to bring out what Howard Thurman called, “the sound of the genuine,” and to inspire what Anne Bogart calls, “resonance.”
I’ve worked for nearly 20 years as a theatre director and maker, teaching artist, and communications strategist for mission-driven organizations. In that time, and with a grounding in public narrative community organizing strategy, I’ve honed my craft as a midwife of stories. My calling and my core work is to listen deeply for the sound of the genuine and shape it into a story that will resonate with audiences, inspiring them to take action, or even inspiring a change of heart. In these times, the sound of the genuine resonating across lines of difference is the most powerful way I know to restore us to right relationship with one another and with the earth.
I’d be honored to work with you to find, shape, and share your story!
